USB Interface II in Vista

Die in Vista (RC2) vorhandenen Treiber funktionieren nicht mit dem USB-Interface. Ich hab keine Ahnung ob dies in der Final Release anders ist (habe auch nicht vor mir diese zuzulegen, da steige ich lieber wieder auf XP zurück um als das ich für ein System ohne OpenGL zahle). Gibt es irgendwelche Erfahrungen oder gar Treiber die mit Vista funktionieren?

Das Interface und IntCon wurden mit Beta 2 von Vista getestet und funktionierten. Was funktioniert denn bei RC2 nicht? Das Interface oder IntCon?

Er erkennt das Interface zwar als HID, findet aber keine entsprechenden Treiber dazu. Wenn ich versuche händisch einen Standard-USB-HID Treiber von Vista zu nehmen, sagt mir das System das der Treiber nicht zur Version von Windows passt.

Wenn es mit Beta 2 funktioniert hat, ist das vermutlich ein Fehler in der RC2. Vermutlich werde ich ohnehin zu XP zurück müssen, da der AeroFly nicht in Vista funktioniert (mangels OpenGL Unterstützung)

Hier würde es mich interessieren, was RC2 macht, wenn ein anderer USB HID Joystick angeschlossen wird. Gibt es da die gleichen Probleme?

Habe ich leider keinen. Muss ich mal schauen ob ich wo einen ausborgen kann. Allerdings fällt mir momentan niemand ein...

I am experiencing the same problem. With Vista drivers the USB interface II simply doesn't work. It would be nice to find some drivers to download to make it work.
In Control panel\ Device manager the adapter is seen as a HID with some windows drivers and the status says: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Any idea?

Since on another section of the Forum it was suggested to upgrade the firmware i tryed to install Intcom but it failed (unfortunately i can not tell what went wrong since all the messages were in German which i can not understand).
Any suggestion?

If your Interface doesn't work, you can return it and the new firmware will be installed. This is free for you, however you have to pay the shipping.

Geräte ab Jan-07 sind Vista-kompatibel. Bei Geräten ab Jul-06 kann ein Update der Software selbst durchgeführt werden (aber unter Windows XP), so dass es unter Vista funktioniert.

Falls Sie Probleme mit dem Update haben, schicken Sie es zurück und wir erledigen das kostenlos. Sie haben allerdings die Portkosten zu tragen (legen Sie 5 EUR dem Brief bei). Diesen Service können wir allerdings nur für updatefähige Geräte anbieten. Das erkennen Sie daran, dass Ihr Gerät eine mit IntCon programmierbare Achsenzuordnung hat. Für ältere Geräte wird ein Austauschservice angeboten: Schicken Sie das Interface zurück, legen Sie 20 EUR bei und Sie erhalten die aktuelle Version, die mit Vista funktioniert.

Ich habe ein Interface III mit Jan 07 und das wird von Vista nicht erkannt. Wie kann ich das updaten??

Wenn es unter XP erkannt wird, könenn Sie sich mit IntCon die neuste Firmware für das Gerät herunterladen und es auf einem XP-Rechner aktualisieren.

Das heisst also mein Interface II aus 06 ist nicht updatefähig und ich muss um es unter Vista nutzen zu können 20€ +5€ versand bezahlen?

Ihr Gerät ist updatefähig, wenn Sie mit IntCon seine Achsenbelegung ändern und speichern können. Bei neueren Geräten können Sie das Update auch selbst durchführen. Bitte probieren Sie das mit IntCon aus.

Also mein Interface hat den aufdruck Mai 06 und das Aktivieren des Bootloaders unter XP funktioniert nicht folglich lässt sich das Interface auch nicht Updaten <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt=":cry:" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: -->

I have a USB Interface II, date stamped Aug 05.

I allready learned I cant update it myself using the Intconn software, but is it possible to be updated by MFtech?

I tried to use it on my brand new Vista computer, but it failed to install the HID driver, so it doesnt work.

Please let me know what to do, so I can use it again on my new Vista computer.

If you encounter any problems, you can return the Interface and we will do the update for you.

Drivers are not needed for Vista. If your device doesn’t work, it needs a new software. Firmware updates can be found with IntCon at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mftech.de/software_en.htm">http://www.mftech.de/software_en.htm</a><!-- m --> and can be programmed by yourself with IntCon in Windows XP. If you have big problems with the update, we can do that four you for free. However, you have to pay the shipping costs to us and back to you (just include 5 EUR with the letter). This service is only provided for updateable devices. Your device is updateable if you can change the axis mapping with IntCon. If your device is too old we can offer a service for exchange: Return your Interface, include 20 EUR and you will get the most recent version running with Vista.

Ok, I have checked with intcon if I can change and save new stick settings.. and it does, so you should be able to install new software.

I will send the device to you this week for updating the software, inluding 5 euro's for return shipping.
